Windy day leaves
A fun game for a windy day when you’re out and about is ‘Leaf Catch’.
You might have your own name for it, it is simple to play and involves everyone running around madly, spotting leaves that are falling and trying to catch them. This is one for small children through to adults. Everyone enjoys it!
When those leaves come home with you, you might want to make a nature hanging, or you could draw or paint on some of the leaves yourself.
If you want to give this a go, it’s an easy activity, with minimal set up and pack up.
Paint pens can be great for control, whereas paint brushes or sponges may be easier for little hands to manage - use whatever you have on hand and spend some time decorating your leaves.
You might like to begin by putting some paper or drawing boards down first to make clean up easier!
Sit down together, creating alongside your little ones, and see what magic emerges.
