Christmas is coming…

There are many reasons to include nature in your Christmas festivities this year:

- free or low cost

- keep it simple - no need to overcomplicate things!

- promote fun experiences and time together outside over “things”

- eco friendly - less things we buy for craft or play activities, the less things that might end up in landfill

- you can repeat them over and over and over again!

Here are 4 Christmas themed nature activities to keep little minds and bodies active and engaged, and build the excitement as we get closer to the big day!

Christmas colours - Go outside and find as many RED and GREEN natural items as you can

Reindeer antlers- Hold sticks above your head and pretend to be a reindeer

Cloud watching – can you spot a star, tree or Santa shapes in the sky?

DIY nature tree - Draw a Christmas tree or create the shape with sticks, then decorate it with leaves you find outside
